Announcements

Next Sunday, November 26, Pastor Kenny Cole will bring the message. Kenny pastored at McGrawsville UMC for several years before retiring this past summer.

Cookies for Women’s Prison:  We will be baking, packing, and delivering cookies to the Women’s Prison in Indianapolis the first part of December.

From November 5 until December 30, Meijer is doing a double match for funds donated to Kokomo Urban Outreach. Because the Maconaquah Buddy Bags program orders food through Meijer, any money designated for Maconaquah Buddy Bags will be doubled. For $130, instead of sponsoring just one child, you will sponsor two! All donations for Maconaquah Buddy Bags must go through our church (not directly to Meijer). If you have any questions, contact Pastor Sarah.

Come for Coffee! On Wednesday mornings in November at 9:30 a.m. Come and visit with friends and neighbors, and bring someone with you who would enjoy a morning out.

The Women's Ministry Council would like to make an updated list of volunteers who are willing to do caring ministry for others in our church and community. Please sign up at the Information Center if you have a gift in one of these areas: take meals to families in need, bake pies, cakes or cookies for events, make home or hospital visits or provide childcare.

The 2018 calendars have arrived and are available for $7each, in the church office. The proceeds are being used to help fund the Maconaquah Buddy Bags program.

Howard-Miami is a drop off site for Caring for Texas, an effort to deliver needed supplies to those affected by the hurricane in the Houston area. See the bulletin insert for more information.

Thanksgiving

-William J Bennett

Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.
